Reverend Lamont Johnson is a native of the bluegrass state of Kentucky.  He is the middle of three children and married to the lovely Dr. Debra Jennings Johnson.  Together they share a blended family that consists of five adult children and seven grandchildren.

Reverend Lamont Johnson is a member of the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. and has obtained multiple degrees, such as a Bachelor of Science Degree in Social Sciences from Mercer University – Macon, GA, a Master of Divinity Degree from Phillips School of Theology at the Interdenominational Theological Center (ITC) – Atlanta, GA.  He also completed the Chaplain Residency Program at Brookwood Baptist/Princeton Medical Center – Birmingham, Alabama.

Reverend Johnson has previously pastored churches in the states of Kentucky, Georgia, and Alabama.  He is currently a Chaplain at Bridgeway Hospice located in the metro Atlanta area.  He has served on Boards and/or Board of Directors of the following organizations:

• Community Advisory Board – Center for Palliative & Supportive Care (UAB) – (Birmingham, AL)
• Board of Trustees - Phillips School of Theology (ITC) – (Atlanta, GA)
• Board of Directors - Loaves & Fishes Ministry (Macon, GA)
• Board of Directors - American Cancer Society (Lexington, KY)
• School Base Decision-Making Council - Booker T. Washington Montessori School (Lexington, KY)

He is the recipient of the following Awards and Honors:

• Graduation – Honor Graduate {Cum Laude - Interdenominational Theological Center}
• Tau Upsilon Alpha (Human Services Honor Society)
• Outstanding Student in Human Services Program (Mercer Univ.)
• Outstanding Young Men of America
